USACE is renovating facilities at Coralville Lake, including updates to the administrative and visitor center buildings and replacing an old garage with a new, energy-efficient structure. The objective of this project was to create secure, functional, and modern spaces that reflect pride in the community.

Grand Forks Levee Repair
The work required consisted of restoration of portions of the English Coulee Diversion Channel of the Grand Forks project. This included damage to the channel slopes, scoured topsoil, and
foundation material due to the 2023 high water event on the Red River of the North. Work
included removing and filling topsoil, filling and compacting a clay base, placing a geotextile
base and riprap, and reestablishing turf in areas disturbed by the Contractor’s operations within
the identified repair limits.

Baudette Land Port of Entry Paving & Drainage Repairs
The project is a pavement and drainage improvement at the Baudette Land Port of Entry. The improvements included removing a pavement, new asphalt, new concrete
pavement, new pavement markings, temporary work zone traffic control, new downspouts and gutter for the canopy, painting of new steel at the canopy, electrical work for heat tape connection, and a new sanitary sewer service.

Oslo Levee Repair
The project involved restoring flood-damaged sections of the riverward levee slope in Oslo, Minnesota. Work included removing topsoil and debris, placing and compacting levee fill and topsoil from a borrow area, and maintaining turf within the repair zone.

Drain 78 Outlet Federal Emergency Management Agency Repair
Excavation and embankment crew members perform precise earthwork operations to support erosion control and drainage repairs. Responsibilities included shaping slopes to specified grades, placing and compacting approved fill materials in uniform 8-inch lifts, and adhering to NDDOT “Compaction Control, Type C” standards.
